Pimp My Rickshaw

The rickshaw is the pride and joy of many Indians, if they are lucky enough to own one. It's the Indian equivalent of the Ford Escort, the best ones sporting pimped up stereo sytems, fancy hub-caps and neon under-chassis lighting. In the sleepy rural village of Hampi, Indian chavs rip up and down the track by the holy ghats - river steps where locals go to wash themselves, their clothes and all their kitchen clutter - and blare their hand-wired super-bass sound systems in an attempt to bring on customers, although it acts as a deterrent.

Be sure to complement the driver on his flashy motor in order to get the best fare. Just don't be surprised if 12 of his friends jump onto the front seat with him and hitch a lift.
